Accommodations
and Amenities - Mothers love
Michigan’s
most beautiful
birthing center.
Of course, the expertise of a hospital’s obstetricians
and support staff – and the availability of
advanced treatment and care – are paramount
when an expectant mother is deciding where
to have her baby. But, given the choice, what
mother wouldn’t want to have it all?
The Merle and Shirley Harris Birthing Center at
Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital delivers, providing
superior skill and capabilities in the area’s most
comfortable and accommodating environment.
Our beautifully appointed accommodations were
designed to make mothers and their families feel
right at home. Private, single-room accommodations
for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum
care create a soothing, nurturing environment for
bringing a baby into the world.
What’s more, our comfortable rooms include
many special amenities that mothers and their
families have asked for, including pull-out sofabeds
for fathers, in-room refrigerators, and
Internet access for e-mail or watching movies.
Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital is also the first in
the nation to offer Cardinal Health Pyxis Patient
Stations™ (PPS) at every patient’s bedside. PPS is
an innovative electronic interaction device that
gives patients access to TV programming, radio,
the Internet, hospital/medical information and
more – literally at the touch of a finger.

In fact, when you enter the Merle and Shirley
Harris Birthing Center it is so pleasant and
accommodating, it may not seem like a hospital
at all – except, of course, for the state-of-the-art
capabilities and the highly skilled, attentive staff.
